Murder on the Dancefloor became one of the most talked-about songs of 2024. Saltburn reignited the track 22 years after its release by featuring it in the film’s iconic final scene. We had the opportunity to work across multiple phases on TikTok and Instagram, amplifying its reach and taking it to the next level.


Through a multi-phase approach, we boosted sound awareness, maximised UGC, and expanded reach across platforms - helping the track climb charts and dominate creator trends.

The campaign kicked off with an open brief on TikTok, giving creators complete freedom to interpret the song their way. From scene recreations to relatable POV trends, this unrestricted approach helped the audio gain traction quickly and built a strong foundation of UGC to scale from. It also sparked early cultural conversation around the film and soundtrack.

After generating strong early momentum, we rolled out the custom “Which Saltburn Character Are You?” filter as the centerpiece of Phase Two. By bringing the film’s most talked-about characters to life, the filter encouraged creators to film their reactions and lean into the Saltburn aesthetic. The result was a major spike in engagement, sparking conversations among creators and viewers alike about the film, its characters, and the soundtrack.

Our custom filter reacted incredibly well among our creators, generating 163 posts and 8M+ views! This fed into organic traction of the filter, surpassing 31,100+ uses!!
